Work Authorisation and Access Control
P2W adds control over the safe authorisation and monitoring of work to a Site Manager's toolkit. Activity schedules from their project management tool can be fed into P2W to gain the following benefits:
- Compliance with the relevant H&S legislation for the management of activities within a construction site.
- The ability to ensure increased use of Method Statements and Risk Analysis on all activities.
- Early identification of problems on the construction site due to incompatible resource and/or safety requirements from activities scheduled for the same or adjacent areas. This includes the ability to reschedule work so that the incompatible activities can proceed.
- An electronic audit trail for all actions carried out in assessing the safe system of work to be adopted for each activity, or group of activities.
- A Site Access control process that ensures that only permitted contractor companies and workers enter the site.
- Control of deliveries through use of delivery-specific permits.
- Contractor Accreditation Management: this requires the linking of OHSA Certification to checks on whether a contractor can work on a permit and the ability to record and manage this accreditation.
- Methods for recording and accessing Lessons Learned on jobs.
- Scaffolding: keeping track of what scaffold is up and where.
